湖南自考英语毕业论文:New Changes in Primary School Teaching of English

f the elementary school language teaching and the curriculum evaluation, we should pay attention to overcome the shortcomings of the measuring method. The teaching goals of the primary English teaching lie not only on developing the language abilities, but also to develop the students to learn a foreign language in a positive attitude and understanding the exotic cultures. If we only take the means of testing, teaching-oriented one-sidedness will appear. Because it’s difficult to test the attitude and the motivation, the past English teachings have to take the language achievement as its only goal. In many cases, it’s on he price of ignoring the attitude and motivations to achieve. This is the point to we should take a note while assessing the English teaching.   

3.3 Pay attention to the penetration of humanistic literacy  

3.3.1  Correctly understand the students, treat the students as a “person”  

How to penetrate humanism consciousness in our English teaching?   

As a person, the students have his or her own independent personality, characteristics, thoughts and ideology, so we should respect them. In fact, due to long-term arranging by their parents, and the schools take the “cramming” teaching method, it caused the lack of thoughts and ideas. Therefore, we should build up a kind of democratic and loose atmosphere, fully respect the student's characteristics, and respect their different consciousness as a main body, and encourage them to release the wings of thoughts. This change is the necessary condition to achieve the humanity.     

3.3.2  Learn a bit “coax” art  

It’s not enough to respect them only, we should like them and accept them in our heart, including all the errors and the shortcomings. In this way, the students will like you, like what you teach. The students can’t control themselves very well, they are easy to make mistakes. We should learn a bit “coax” art. In my teaching, if the children make a bit of progress, I will undoubtedly praise with my gifts: the thumbs and the small gifts. The children, especially the students who are not so good getting the teacher's encouragement and affirmation, they will become very close to me and listen to me, and they listen very carefully in my class. The relationships between the teacher and the students become harmonious, beloved and appreciated. English teaching process is filled with humanity.    

3.3.3  Use teaching materials to create the scenic situations   

Through creating the scenic situations, the knowledge on the book is turned back to real life. During the process of acting, thinking, the creative abilities will be well developed. This will become the important means to display their personality.   

The primary school English teaching is in the ascendant, the research on the primary English teaching has just been started, I hope it will have a satisfied ending on the land of primary English teaching.     

4 Conclusion  

The teacher is not only the new curriculum implementer, but also the new curriculum developer. The teachers play a key role in the curriculum decision-making. Some study shows that the one who has a good language performance is superior to the one who is a little weaker. But the primary English teacher who has a good language performance is superior to the teacher who is working in middle school. Thus it can be seen that, the good language performance is not enough, they need to know about the psychological characteristics and development needs of the pupils, so that, it is suggested to make the teaching adapt to the life and cognitive levels of the pupils. Therefore, the teachers’ comprehensive quality is the key to promote curriculum implementation.Changes caused by the new Curriculum in the classroom teaching provide a new development space, meantime also provide a new challenge to all the teachers
